Presentation of Publication: Civil Society in the EU Integration of the Western Balkans
On the occasion of the publishing of the “Thinking 4 Governance” project joint report, Populari organized a presentation titled “Civil Society in the EU Integration of the Western Balkans ” which was held on Thursday, 13 November 2014 in the European Union Info Center (EUIC) in Sarajevo. Aside from Populari, the BiH partners of the Polish Institute of International Affairs, the organisation that implemented the project, were the Center for Security Studies and Vaša Prava — Legal Aid Network. The event gathered representatives of the BiH government institutions, Delegation of EU to the BiH, embassies of Visegrad countries in BiH, and in small numbers also CSOs. Closing Seminar: 2014 TRAIN – Fostering Policy Dialogue
Throughout 2014, Populari’s Policy Researcher Katarina Cvikl participated in TRAIN programme (Think Tanks Providing Research and Advice through Interaction and Networking) of the German Council of Foreign Relations (DGAP). The final gathering of the participants took place in Brussels, Belgium, between 2 and 6 November 2014. After two seminars, organised this year in Belgrade and in Berlin, policy researchers from Western Balkan think tanks that are taking part in this year’s TRAIN programme met again in Brussels. Workshop: 2nd Regional School of Policy Analysis
Katarina Cvikl, Policy Researcher from think tank Populari participated in the second Regional School of Policy Analysis organized by the Croatian Gong Research Center. The school was held in Zadar, Croatia, between 17 and 21 October 2014. Unlike last year when the school was dealing with methodological aspects of policy analysis, this year, the lectures and workshops addressed issues related to political participation and policy and social change in countries of the region.
