International Workshop: 15 Years of Peace-Building Activities in the Western Balkans – Lessons Learnt and Current Challenges

Alida Vračić, Populari’s executive director participated in the international workshop “15 Years of Peace-Building Activities in the Western Balkans – Lessons Learnt and Current Challenges“ held on April 23-26, 2010 at at Chateau Rothschild in Reichenau / Rax in Austria.

The PfP Consortium Study Group on ”Regional Stability in South East Europe” (RSSEE) seeks to assess the situation in the South East European Region through enhanced international co-operation and strategic research on an academic level. The main focus is to elaborate major problem areas and work on possible solutions.

By participating at the workshop, the participants seek to contribute to the creation and improvement of academic networking in the field of Security Policy in the South East European Region.

The workshop is organised by the Directorate for Security Policy at the Austrian Ministry of Defence and Sports, the Institute for Peace Support and Conflict Management at the National Defence Academy in Vienna and the PfP Consortium of Defence Academies and Securities Studies Institutes.
