As a researcher at Populari, Katarina Cvikl visited SAHAF 2013, the first Halal Fair held in Sarajevo and on May 16, 2013 attended the Halal Forum. The three-day event was organised as a response to the current rising demand for halal products throughout the Balkans. It consisted of an exhibition of halal certified companies representing their products and a meeting of experts and academics, who during the forum presented the latest trends in the world of halal economy. Workshop: Visual Presentation Skills for Effective Advocacy
Populari’s Policy Researcher Ajdin Perčo participated in the workshop “Visual Presentation Skills for Effective Advocacy” held on July 18, 2013 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over the summer of 2013, PILPG (The Public International Law & Policy Group) will be hosting a series of visual presentation training workshops across Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the general capacity building support to NGOs for constitutional reform advocacy. Conference: Research and Advocacy in a Challenging Policy Environment: Sharing Experiences from the Western Balkans
Populari’s head of research Vesna Malenica participated in the first ever TRAIN Alumni Conference “Research and Advocacy in a Challenging Policy Environment: Sharing Experiences from the Western Balkans” held in Berlin between 27 and 30 June 2013, organized by the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). The Conference gathered thirty public policy researchers and analysts from the Balkan region, all of which participated in the TRAIN Programme since its start in 2010.
