Workshop: EBRD Country Strategy Review for Bosnia and Herzegovina – Consultation Workshop with Civil Society
Jasminko Halilović, Populari’s Deputy Director, participated in a workshop titled “EBRD Country Strategy Review for Bosnia and Herzegovina – Consultation Workshop with Civil Society“, held on November 06, 2013 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the workshop, after the presentation of the draft country strategy, participants discussed its possible amendments and changes and also the EBRD experience in Bosnia and Herzegovina. EBRD’s representatives offered the cooperation to the attendees by stressing that the EBRD will be open for different development projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina to address to.
The comments received during the consultation workshop will be incorporated into a Report on Public Comment, which will be made available to the Board of Directors to inform their decision-making on the final Strategy for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Report is expected to be released together with the final Strategy by the end of 2013.
Given that Populari’s research is often dealing specifically with the path of BiH to the EU, and that the EBRD as an institution positions its strategy in the context of BiH’s European integration, the exchange of opinions with EBRD was of particular importance. In future, Populari will continue providing useful contributions to such discussions.
