Our partners: Mozaik Foundation

One of its co-founders and the creator of the idea of Populari, is the Mozaik Foundation. Working together,  Mozaik and Populari started the initiative for the establishment of a B&H think tank. Together with its partners, Mozaik has provided full support to Populari, from the first day of its establishment until today, including common projects of different scales.

Mozaik is a community development foundation which allocates grants and provides advisory support to local initiatives of common interest throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through several selected programme areas, the Mozaik Foundation actively participates in community life by mobilising local resources and starting initiatives in rural communities, in order to improve their socio-economic development. Thematic areas for community activities, i.e. programme areas are: cultural heritage, inclusion/social justice, and support for youth. Besides these initiatives, through its programme “For Active Communities”, Mozaik provides an opportunity to community members to pursue any issue of common interest, which they believe is a priority.

Reports

In 2010, the debate on international power in Bosnia and Herzegovina is still ongoing. No clear policies that would make the issue less complicated are in place. To investigate what this means outside of BiH and among 27 members of the European Union, with the support of Open Society Institute Think Tank Fund, and CEPS, under the supervision of Michael Emerson, Populari’s researcher Goran Tirak, undertook a challenge by investigating the effectiveness of the OHR when it comes to Bosnian aim towards full integration into the European Union.
